In few sites it works where there are few comments only, but in most sites it doesn't work especially when there are many comments.
Try ABC News, Wired, BGR, etc. check when there are many comments.
Hint: Try the Digg blog where they announced the new feed reader they are making.
Also in some non disqus comments also there are problems, like Mashable mobile comments never works and sometimes The Verge comments also doesn't work. The new AOL tech comments in sites like lifehacker shows comments but does not allow to post comments.
Facebook comments, livefyre comments, ars technica comments works properly.
