*yes & 16 is what is working (only) on mini next as well, as far as i can tell. (incidently, excuse me if im mistaken, but i think it is .OBML (opera binary markup language...hmmm...i wonder if i start switching the letters around maybe i can get them to work?)

I believe I once read Opera is working on backward compatability or some kind of reader but I don't know what the curent status of that project.

*not sure what u mean exactly by "backwards compatability"? ...i.e., what w/ what? I have 3 versions, next, 4.4 & modded "BD"mini6. I did not start to save any pgs until i installed om next (when my official 6 died). I have accumulated about 57 .obml files, of which approx 12 are .obml15 & the rest are 16. Of the total, none of the 15's show up in saved pages. Also, approx 3 or 4 of the 16's also do not show up. The rest do indeed show up in mini next, but none of the entire list will show up on 4.4 or the modded 6. Also, i found that i can put those that DO work, loose on the root of card, or in a newly created folder, such as "saved pages", or in the "other" folder. I became confused about "other" folder cuz at 1 point i "think" i created an "other" folder, but later, i "think" but not sure, that either windows (when card is in lappy) or, more likely opera mini, created its own "other" folder on root. But ive been confused about it cuz when pointing to a folder on card, the actual pathway to certain folders is not the same as what it says on the card hierarchy. Thats hard to explain w/o looking right at it, but basically i have to take a strange, extended route, via the popups, to get to what is more directly listed on the card itself. Anyway, i found that i can put them loose on root, in any folder, or divided into various folders & as long as i point to that folder, the pages show up (but not those i mentioned above). I wish i could find a place where this particular aspect of how the .obml files work and/or get "assigned" and any possible manipulations or modifications to them that would enable them to be put into different or new, upgraded mini versions, would be a very good thing. In fact i have seen several instances where folks have seemed to say that they indeed HAVE been able to retain or reinsert the pages across versions, and if so, i sure would like to know how?
Dont know about any "project" u mentioned, but mini IS a reader for these files. And i guess you can use a mini simulator/emulator along w/other element, to put mini on desktop, thus "read" or open such files that way, but the limitations i describe above, would still exist. If you can give links to ANY info, in above regard only (as ive already read til blue in face about what are .obml files, but nothing so far speaks to the "hook" or "assignment" or "redistribution" aspect), it would be greatly appreciated, incl anyth to do w/what you noted above. If what im talking about can be done, it would provide a complete backup tool, of any files, pages, bookmarks, notes, speeddials, etc(?) via mini saved pages function, for any past .obml files saved to card & on any version of mini. If not possib in that full of a way, then at least it can be used on whichever version one is currently using, going fwd, & incl putting "doubled-up" copies of bookmarks & speedials also, as "saved pages"& then periodically copied & backed up to disc on pc. Then, if any opera mini software or server side "messups" occur, nothing could ever be lost. If & when that same currently being used version dies (like my 6 did) or if an upgrde is in order, then i dont know if the files could be used again (which is why its so important to know if its possible to make ANY .obml files readable by ANY version.
