thankyou 4 the followup. I also had earlier in this quest, tried changing those #'s around, in effort to seel if it would not only determine if those #'s & the orig had no #'s (i believe?), are the key to this & also if so, whether it would help me to find the correct version(s) where the approx 15 files i have (which incl approx 12 obml15's & maybe 3 obml16's which will not go into nor open w/mini next. I think i may have mention that earlier? But i also noted that i only had 2 other working versions to work with & only those 15 or so "rogue/lost/orphaned" files to test this aspect, so its good & PLEASE DO go ahead & check as many conbinations of obml's/mini versions, as u can. Because i actually did much more research (w/actual pertinent & important info found, this time, finally, after coming up 100% empty-handed in previous 1-2 mo of searching for answers/reliable info), and have some of the necessary explanations of how this "system" works. I will be back later on tonite, hopefully, to post stuff about my findings. But b4 i do, it is definite worthwhile, (even tho i dont know what exact method of checking that ur doing), cuz while simply changing the extention # of the file extention, prolly wont by itself pan out to allow for putting filess created w/1 version, into a different very (tho with additional manipulations, such "might" still be possible), however, if one has any files that wont be taken in by the version they currently use, then they DO indeed BELONG somewhere...and so what is needed, in that regard, is to "work out" which one go where (so they are not lost, useless & orphaned. I believe as u noted, it mayve started w/no suffix #, then possibly begun w/in the 12's ans so on. Also, i have not ABSOLUTELY confirmed, but partly so... that the prefix #'s are simply random generated, so likely dont play in the placement function. However, there is a distinct possibility that the key "may" be in "changing" those #'s, or more accurately, the filename (i think). So i'll come back & post the links to the good info i gathered & try to explain more of what i learned. In fact, i came across a great article, complete w/step-by-step, that indirectly gives props to my idea of a totaol backup system, by showing how the .obml file system (which, by the way, is proprietary to opera mini) can be used as an excellent vehicle for an ebook reader (due to its offline text & graphics saving& handling). Very cool stuff. Keep testing! Mobile is already surpassing desktop & worlds best browser may have a total backup, both server side & local memory, so a great thing if the "losses" that so many have reported, can be ended.

I think what im asking essentially, is what is the "association" between the .ombl file, that allows the file to be added into saved pages & opened? Is it that number suffix? There is major potential here.
~ i think it has something to do with the number too. base on my observation .ombl are save pages for OM4.4 and .ombl16 for O.M7 save pages file. and last night i'm supposedly experimenting something called changing the file extension name (e.g .ombl to .ombl16) hoping om4.4 save pages would run in om7 but my laptop died on me before i could exported it to my phone.
