manojgj,

pardon me ahead of time if i'm wrong about any of this, but 1st of all, syncing via opera link, afaik, is NOT for saved pages. It's for bookmarks, speedials, (i think someth else also, but i 4get at the moment).

I have been working on how to expand on the basic, default use of saved pages function, but for now, my understanding is that the .obml files assoc w/your saved pgs, can ONLY be viewed by the verion of mini that they were orig created with AND using the original device as well. In other words, .obml files (a sort of "hybrid" file extention, i think) are VERSION & DEVICE DEPENDENT....that is...ORIGINAL version & device dependent. I hope i am not mistaken but that is my understanding so far. I had promised to post some links to real informative articles about this, on another thread, over a day ago, but i cannot remember which thread it is & i havent been able to post the links yet. When i find what the thread is, i"ll try 2 remember 2 come back here to note it 4u.

Its an interesting question u pose, the one about getting your saved pgs file up on your pc. I dont think u can, but there are articles that explain about using emulators, simulator & special versions of mini, whereby u can get mini up on your pc & theoretically be able to view the files (since mini is a .obml file viewer), but unless u r already familiar w/it, i think it involve ALOT of doing & still will be very liimiting, as i'm not positive, but i dont think u can use any ol version of mini in such a simulator for pc fashion, which if is true, would serverely limit doing this, due to above noted "device & version specific, dependent", rule. There may be "manipulations" or mods to the files that hold the possibility of getting around that limitation, but for now, i dont think u can do such a transfer. But if u search for the simulator for pc info (easy to find), you may be able to use the special version of mini (i think you must use a special version?), to create new saved pages files, copied from ur old ones, that you can open on pc.

Just trying 2 help...hope that isnt too confusing. The short, simple, concise story...is no "transferring" of saved pgs, outside of "device & mini version". But my quest is to find ways to get around that, to then be able use .obml files as a complete & complimentary backup method.
