i just noticed that the author of the article i linked to, mentioned something down near the bottom, about om5.1. I'm not sure if his mention of 5.1 was cuz he was replying2 someone who had askd about doing this & happened 2 have 5.1, or if the instructions & software is specifically and/or only, for 5.1 i hope u get 2 check it out (or someone) & determine that important info. I dont know. I havent done this (least not yet). I have no internet on lappy i have, so this wud b pretty hard-to-impossib for me2 do. But if u or someone else gets this done & also determines if it works & goes beyond just 5.1, then, it will serve to add to the "complete backup" idea im trying to find, bcuz this adds the mini/pc element.
