With another browser that also had the same problem, I can get round it by turning off compression by the server i.e. the web page goes straight to the phone without being compressed by the server, or something? That was the advice from their customer service person who responded to a similar post I made on their forum and it works :) so it might/must be something that can only be sorted centrally for Opera Mini, pssssst, if anyone is listening ;-0
