pcpll,
hi..as far as I know.. mini saved pages obml files are pretty much device & version dependent (or is that 'interdependent'?), i.e., you must use same phone & same mini version that the files were orig created on.
I was working on the possibility that a certain way of renaming the files 'might' alllow for some "cross-device/version reading... but i got sidetracked from that exploration.
You say that 7 "can upgrade" the pgs from 5".... I've never heard of that b4. I'd be real interested to know how that is accomplished.
As far as i've been able to ascertain, 4.4 saved pgs files are ".obml". I believe 6.0 are ".obml15"& 7.x is "obml16". I don't have any version of 5 installed so i dont know the ext for that, but somewhere i read that the extensions began w/.obml & then went from adding #'s 12-16 (current?).
I was exploring the idea that obml files system could be used as a total & reliable local backup medium for all mini stuff.

Hello,
I had a lot of saved page on opera mini 4.4, is there a way to read them on opera mini 7 ? (java or native s60 version) ?
Opera mini 7 java can upgrade the mini 5 obml pages but not the 4.4... nevertheless i would not understand how Opera can brake compatibility with v4.4 to v5+...
thanks for the help
