I was disappointed that now, having finally "moved fwd from the 6.0 issues", and the dwnld'g probs experienced for near 4 mo w/mini next & now with 7.1, to see that download fail. However, it was then that i discovered what they meant by new resume function, in that after a dwnld in progress fails, it can be resumed from that point! Thats a "biggie!", esp if for whatever reason (still unknown why to me) the larger sz dwnlds still fail, bcuz it continued to fail, numerous (many) more times, but the resume function kept eating away at it until eventually, i had the entire 107mb file. But it took hrs & hrs & that doesnt seem right to me & is not what you & at least some others report about downloading. So i have to do more testing, as its possible it was simply congested network or similar that day. If it continues to be the case, that would really suck, but i'll reserve judgement til i give 7.1 more tries at dwnldg. By the way, i also tried a couple small files & they failed a few times to even start (happened on same day).
So thx, wellwisher, for ur help in this. I'll try more dwnldg & report results.

p.s. I think the world reall DID end on 12.12 & this is the afterlife. I know, i know...thats stupid cuz everyth is exactly the same....but i noticed that my socks are now all changed color...and the marjorine is now butter....just sayin
