@Yeswap: LOL that's exactly the same picture I saw for Autoblog, except I had no problem with Engadget at all.
@Shaneataol: I just happened to check Autoblog last week after only looking at the headline since the links would lead to the "busted computer" picture Yeswap linked to. It appears to have finally been fixed within the last week or so. Prior to that I was only able to read Autoblog articles on a PC. So while the point is now moot, I'll answer your questions:
1) Did it ever work? YES, prior to their redesign. It now works once again.
2) Does it work on other browsers? NO. It didn't work on the Nokia's own browser, either. Nokia browser access has also been restored, apparently simultaneously.
3) Is there anything non-standard about how you are connecting? Not at all.
4) Can you try going directly to m.aol.com/portal and see if that works? Never tried this.
5) Have you performed basic browser troubleshooting (clear cache / cookies / try again)? Yes. Nothing worked. Even tried Opera Mini 7.
6) Do you ever read the 6th item on the numbered list? ??? Do you mean the page information? Yes. The URL shows the correct link, but the page shows the picture of the dead computer.
7) I noticed on my Mini-Opera it has the option for hi-rez / low rez graphics settings - turning those down - does that help? No, it did not.
Thank you for your help. For all I know you folks were able to get in touch with AOL's IT department and troubleshot it, or they just figured it out on their own. Nevertheless, thank you for following up.
