What is an Opera Mini "Handler" edition?

Last post by Nowurtalkin: In this thread, the fault u described was the "starting over & over thing, not the other scrolling issue, but u havent said whether 1 of the other versions i linked solved THAT problem. While the other issue is no doubt annoying, i wud think that endlessly starting over & over...is far more serious, no?

Also, i meant version 5's or 6's to try...? (u said 7.1 was too slow 4 ur phone, so what about everything in between what uv tried & 7?)

also, have u been overwriting or uninstall/reinstall? I can categorically say that at least in some cases of corrupted browser or associated files, that an overwrite, w/o an uninstall 1st, will result in the same bad behavior. My 6.5 worked perfect for a yr & a half, then seemingly outta nowhere, it began the: won't load past 80% on loadbar fault". I tried everything i cud figure for 3 mos, in vain, until I, 1) found a copy of orig, unmodified, 6.5 & 2) uninstalled the faulty one 1st, then reinstalled. Bingo! (when i simply tried to overwrite....even any version of 6.0, 6.1, 6.5, & even tho i successfully got all 3 to install, the SAME issue/fault was still present. So that mean an ASSOCIATED file had bcome corrupted, not the browser itself. Maybe u did it right, this might help someone else...

As to the scroll issue, i dont underst why the opera guys dont chime in w/some advice...?? I suppose u should report it as a bug. Perhaps one of the "handler" versions might resolve?

*incidently, out of curiosity, and since ultimately, the solution may have to be a phone reset (as i noted, sometimes there are more than 1 or full level of reset), why wud it be such a major hassle?.....keeping in mind: "link/sync", "saved pages, "notes"&"speedials", plus any possible other backups u may have?
