Some websites are forcing Opera Mini to redirect from the mobile version (the URL I entered) to a "touch" version, which will not display in Opera Mini.
These include:
mobile.latimes.com (redirects to touch.latimes.com).
mobile.baltimoresun.com (redirects to touch.baltimoresun.com).
In addition, the following site redirects to a full version, which does not display properly in Opera Mini.
m.chicagotribune.com (redirects to my.chicagotribune.com).
As similar problem was occurring several months ago with mobile.nytimes.com but seems to have been fixed.
I tried contacting these websites and they said they do not support Opera. (Same thing with the nytimes site earlier).
If anybody is having similar problems with other sites, please add them to this list.
I have tried using these mobile URLs from my desktop and from the default Android browser and I am able to access them - just not with Opera Mini.
I know Opera Mini does not access websites directly but through Opera's servers, so maybe these sites see the user agent as something other than a phone browser.
Thanks.
