And btw, Opera normally does not comment on future releases.

Oh I?

Lucky I had to find that myself because Opera can't be bothered telling people on their own website

That article is about three years old
Opera Mini has been available for iPhone and iPad for some time, but for modern coding techniques (CSS3, for example) it's not very good

I love the desktop browser, but I avoid Opera Mini because I can't even get support for rounded corners or web font kits (which even IE6 supports). I think this is mostly because Opera Mini does all of the web page rendering on Opera's own servers, then delivers it via their own compression servers

Without having a chance to use or try Opera Mobile, I think this would be a better platform and would more likely deliver the sites the way the designer / developer intended. Unfortunately, Opera Mobile is not support on iPhone / iPad or Windows Phone 7.5 / 8

For iPad, I need to stick with Safari or Chrome, and on Windows Phone 7.5, IE

I read somewhere that in the current environment and with the engine Opera uses, it is unlikely to be available on Windows Phone in the near future
