ok..1st, below is copy of link, from another topic. I can only paste 1 per post (using my setup), but it should be all that's necessary. You can see the id #. The topic was download. please let me know if it links you back directly to the top of the post in that topic, w/that id # (its the last post on that page (as of now).
I was able to go to forum via uc browser & found some interesting results. Hopefully they may serve to help some guru to focus on the nature of the issue and/or hone in on the problem.
What i did was go to mini forum thru uc browser>mini>"download" (fairly new topic)>last post on page. I 4get who/what, but the id # is noted above. Then i went thru the someone cumbersome steps to copy the link to that post (alot trickier than in omini, plus i never did it there b4). Then i found that the copied link could not be "cross-browser" pasted, so i had to open my email from within uc browser, then pasted the link in an email & sent to self. I then also generated the link from within omini & went to email via omini & again pasted & sent to self.
An important note i forget to mention above, is that when i went to forum via uc browser & to the post i mentioned, when i clicked on it, it went straight to & perfectly to the exact beginning of that same post, as opposed to doing same via omini, where as i already reported before, it goes to correct page but not to right post. So that points, at least in part, to opera mini browser, as having a problem, in that aspect, because the only difference in that ex, is which browser was used to visit the forum. It also was very encouraging that clicking copied/pasted links, from within uc browser would also work correctly. But as you'll see reading on, not so.
I actually made 2 links, the 1 reported above & also i made a link from my 1st post in this thread, but i only posted the 1st 1 here.
When i went to the link for my 1st post in this thread, in my email, via omini, the link to me somewhere above, below or in the middle (sorry i cant remember which) of the post. The post was the only 1 on the page (until i post this 1). Pretty sure it was same thing (correct page but not pointing directly to post) from emailed link from within uc browser.
Next i did all the same for the link from the "download" topic. I forget which 1 was which, but clicking the link from email in opera & from email in uc browser, brought me to the top of the page in one & the bottom of the page in the other, with neither hitting any portion of any post on that page.
In case anyone questions...all this is using the proper "findpost" link.
So the test of opening the copied/pasted post links, in 2 different browsers & generated from within 2 diff browsers, was consistent re: this problem i am reporting. The only difference, possibly significant to the gurus, is that clicking the post links directly from the post, using uc browser, correctly linked back to the post properly. That doesnt occur using mini.
